A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember something between page loads. The Travel Home uses them sparingly — chiefly to keep a flight search working from one screen to the next.
Strictly necessary
These keep the site functioning. They cannot be switched off, because without them a search or a booking cannot be completed.
- Session cookie — ties your browser to the search you just ran, so the results and the booking page know which itinerary you are on. Expires when you close the browser.
- Anti-forgery token — proves that a form submission came from our page and not from a third-party site. Expires with the session.
- Load balancing — keeps you on the same server for the length of a booking, so a half-finished booking is not lost mid-flow.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled on this site, they tell us which pages and routes people use, where journeys break down, and how quickly pages load. The data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify you. You can decline these through your browser settings or a browser extension without affecting your ability to book.
Marketing
Where we run advertising, our advertising partners may set cookies to measure which campaigns lead to bookings and to avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop flight search and booking from working on this site; blocking the rest will not.
